Spiralling Pitch 

A    Establish loading ratio of tape length to pipe length

Loading ratio   =     Total metres of heating tape required

B    Using the chart below plot pipe diameter against loading ration to obtain spiral pitch.

Installation

Straight Tracing

 Attach to the underside of the pipe, fixing points every 250mm.

Spiralled Tracing  

Ensure firm contact, fixing points every 500mm.

Heating Tape must maintain firm contact with pipe and not be allowed to hang free or overlap upon itself. Control thermostats are recommended at all times.
